ActiveOffice provide unprecedented levels of industry leading backup security for all of our customer’s data. With ActiveOffice we back up all customers data every 15 minutes, which means that we can allows multiple ‘point in time’ recovery options per day, should for whatever reason a customer wish to role back to an earlier data position.
Microsoft specifically designed Data Protection Manager (DPM) to provide the best backup and most reliable restore point for Microsoft Server Workloads. Data Protection Manager (DPM) was also specifically built to protect and recover Exchange 2007, SharePoint and File Server data. ActiveOffice take full advantage of this tight coupling between Microsoft’s Data Protection Manager (DPM) and our core Microsoft service applications throughout our services platform.
Additionally, whilst all ActiveOffice servers are configured in Active/Passive clusters and customer data is continuously replicated between clustered servers, it is important that we also take customer backups outside of the production service system to a different location. This is why the Active Office Backup infrastructure, which is built on Microsoft DPM, is housed in a fire protected suite, 25 meters underground within the Bunker data centre complex completely separated from our production application platform.
We believe that our extremely robust approach to customer data back-up and security is a clear indication of the seriousness with which we take the protection and integrity of our customer’s data.
