Mail is the integrated email client for Mac OS X. Although this email client is supported by Active Mail, it is limited support via both POP3 and IMAP4 protocols. The preferred email client for Mac by Active Mail is Entourage 2008.

Active Mail Features Supported by Mail
Mail is a feature rich POP3 / IMAP4 client installed as standard with Mac OS X. Active Mail fully supports POP3 and IMAP4 as methods or retrieving email. If retrieving and reading email is your only requirement the Mail will meet these needs.

Active Mail Features NOT Supported by Mail
If there is a requirement to collaborate with colleagues on task, contact and scheduling information as well as access Exchange Public Folders we recommend Entourage 2008, which is included with our service.
