Entourage 2008 is the leading PIM client for Macintosh computers and allows direct synchronisation of email, tasks and schedules with Active Mail. Entourage 2008 is a significant update from Entourage 2004 and includes many new features including the 'My Day' dashboard and instant 'Spotlight' search. Entourage 2008 is supplied, and fully licensed, with every Active Mail subscription.

Integrated Spotlight Search
Spotlight is a desktop search feature by Apple which was introduced in Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger). Spotlight provides Entourage 2008 users with a simple method for searching the contents of their mailbox and searches are near instantaneous. Entourage 2008 also provides an integrated interface for creating queries, which can be saved for later use.

My Day
My Day is a new mini application included with Entourage 2008 which provides a quick and easy way to access calendar, to do lists and tasks without running the full Entourage 2008 application.

Time Management
In Entourage 2008 all calendar views have been redesigned to provide a more intuitive user experience. There is a new Today button which displays the current day in any view. Like Outlook 2007 it is now possible to flag items which appear as tasks in the to do list.

Improved Interface
The Entourage 2008 interface has had a complete overhaul and is now more in tune with the overall Mac experience.

Junk Email Filtering
Entourage 2008 contains a new algorithm for detecting spam and phishing emails. Improved allow and block list controls based on sender or domain are also available.

Out of Office Assistant
Using the Out of Office Assistant in Entourage 2008 Active Mail users can set an out of office message to notify email senders that they will not be responding to their correspondence as they are away.
